Payment & Security Policy

This Payment & Security Policy explains how payments are structured, accepted, and protected when you engage Equals Design And Build (SSM 202103376576), trading as Equals Design Studio ("we", "us", "our"). It should be read together with our Terms of Service and Refund & Cancellation Policy.

1. Currency

All quotations, invoices, and payments are denominated in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.

Interior design and renovation engagements are typically billed in stages rather than as a single up-front charge. A representative structure is:

The exact amounts, percentages, and due dates for your project are set out in your quotation or proposal and form part of our agreement with you.

3. Accepted payment methods

We currently accept payment by direct bank transfer to our registered business account in Malaysia. The account details are stated on each invoice we issue to you. We do not accept card payments at this time.

Our bank details appear only on official invoices issued by us. If you receive payment instructions that differ from those on your official invoice — including any change of bank account — do not act on them. Contact us directly using the details below to verify before transferring any funds.

4. Invoicing

We issue an invoice for each payment due. Invoices are payable by the date stated on them. As set out in our Terms of Service, we reserve the right to pause work where invoices remain outstanding beyond the agreed terms. Please retain your invoices and payment confirmations as your record of payment.

5. Payment security

Because we accept payment only by direct bank transfer, your payment is made through your own bank's channels — we do not collect, process, or store any card numbers, CVV codes, or online-banking credentials on our systems or this website.

This website is served over an encrypted (TLS/HTTPS) connection. We never request payment details by email, WhatsApp, or phone, and we never ask for your banking passwords or one-time codes. To protect against payment fraud, always confirm our bank account details against an official invoice issued by us, and contact us directly if anything looks unusual.

6. How we protect your information

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect payment-related and personal information, including restricted access to client and financial records within our team and secure storage of project documentation. How we handle personal data more broadly is described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Fraud and unauthorised transactions

If you believe a payment has been requested or made fraudulently, or you notice an unauthorised transaction relating to an engagement with us, contact us immediately using the details below so we can investigate and, where appropriate, work with the payment provider and your bank.

8. Refunds

Refunds, where applicable, are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy and are made in MYR to the original payment method or originating bank account wherever practicable.

We may update this Payment & Security Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page with the updated date noted above.
